SEC Gymnast of the Week – Florida’s Trinity Thomas, a junior from York, Pa., collected her fourth all-around title of 2021 and 18th of her career with a 39.750 in the win over No. 18 Auburn. Thomas’ score was the highest mark last weekend in the SEC and the second highest among the nation’s competitors. She recorded a pair of 10.0 on bars and floor, the second Gator to earn two 10.0 in a single meet.
SEC Specialist of the Week – Kentucky’s Cally Nixon, a junior from Miami, Fla., scored a career-high 9.975 on bars to help Kentucky earn the win over No. 2 LSU. Nixon’s scored tied eight-time NCAA Champion Jenny Hansen for the top uneven parallel bars score in program history.
SEC Freshman of the Week – Florida’s Ellie Lazzari, a freshman from Wheaton, Ill., recorded her collegiate best of 9.975 to win a share of the beam title against No. 18 Auburn and helped set the school record for a team score in the event (49.700). It marked the third beam win this season for Lazzari. She also set her collegiate best on floor with a 9.90 and led off the bars lineup with a 9.825.
