'Three members part of PSL 6 tested COVID-19 positive' PCB

Karachi: Three members part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six have tested positive for COVID-19, ARY News reported.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), 244 PCR tests were conducted after Islamabad United’s Fawad Ahmed came out positive before United’s clash against Quetta Gladiators.

PCB’s Director Media Sami-ul-Hasan revealed in a presser at National Stadium that the COVID-19 positives are two foreign players and the remaining one is part of the support staff. Three members will now undergo quarantine for 10 days.

Sami further revealed that the PCR tests’ reports of one team will be revealed soon and the total number of PCR tests will exceed to 280+ since yesterday.

PCB officials will have a virtual meeting with franchise owners at 3 pm today to ensure that COVID-19 SoPs are enforced strictly from today onwards.

Meanwhile, Quetta Gladiators-Islamabad United match will go ahead today as scheduled at National Stadium, Karachi and 50 % of the crowd will come to the stadium with SoPs.
