Josh Quinlan blasts Logan Urban for 47-second knockout

Josh Quinlan absolutely destroyed Logan Urban to wrap up Week 2 of the 2021 season of Dana White’s Contender Series.

Josh Quinlan entered the UFC Apex with violent intentions, as he knocked out Logan Urban with a barrage of punches to close out the night on Dana White’s Contender Series.

After touching gloves with Urban to open the action, Quinlan quickly emerged as the aggressive fighter inside the octagon and shocked UFC president Dana White with a knockout in just 47 seconds.

Quinlan, a former standout with Legacy, is now 6-0 in his professional career with all six wins coming by finish. He emerged as one of the top prospects on DWCS after dominant victories over Dallas Jennings and Joe Boerschig earlier this year.

During his amateur career, Quinlan also holds wins over Rodney James Edgar and former The Ultimate Fighter: Season 29 contender Ryder Newman.

Josh Quinlan took a leave of absence from his job to fight for a shot in the UFC

It wasn’t an easy past week for Quinlan entering the fight. His originally scheduled opponent, Darian Weeks pulled out of the bout after someone in his fight camp tested positive for COVID-19.

After the fight, White awarded Quinlan a UFC contract for his efforts. He lauded Quinlan’s victory as one of the most impressive he’s seen in the show’s history.

It appears that the UFC has a new potential welterweight star in Quinlan, with his ferocious style in the octagon. He has the opportunity to become the latest Hawaiian star in the UFC; alongside former champions BJ Penn and Max Holloway.
